A coverage plan, not a prediction
A meteor or night-sky sequence is a coverage plan, not a prediction. The useful variables are how much of the session the camera is actually exposing, how much gap remains between frames, and whether storage can hold the sequence. Those decisions help you avoid silent gaps even though they cannot create an event or clear the sky.
Over two hours, 20-second exposures every 25 seconds yield 288 frames, an 80 percent duty cycle, five seconds of gap, and about 8.64GiB at 30MiB each. Shorten the interval and the duty cycle rises, but the camera needs enough time to complete each frame. Test the first sequence, then monitor weather, battery, dew, focus, and storage separately from the arithmetic.
