File size is a delivery constraint, not an image-quality score. A small file can be appropriate for one target and unsuitable for another, while a large file can contain inefficient encoding or necessary data. This local inspector shows browser-visible file facts and a declared byte limit without claiming to diagnose compression quality.
A one-megabyte file decoded to 1000×500 pixels has a file-density proxy of two bytes per decoded pixel. That is a description of one file, not a verdict. If an email limit is 500KB, the file exceeds that stated limit. Confirm the recipient requirement, export a test through the chosen workflow, inspect it in context, and preserve the master separately.
The optical values here are ideal geometric limits, not measured lens performance. Focus, motion, aberrations, subject contrast, sensor processing, crop, and output can change practical detail.
