Geometry begins the plan, it does not finish it

Astro framing begins with sensor geometry, but it does not end there. A field-of-view calculation can compare your lens and sensor with a target angular box you enter. It cannot know where the object will be, how it will rotate in your frame, whether it is visible, or whether tracking and sky conditions support the capture.

A 200mm lens on a 36×24mm sensor covers about 10.29 by 6.87 degrees. With a 10 percent margin, a declared 3 by 2 degree target fits geometrically. Before a shoot, verify the target's position and timing independently, test the star field, and leave additional framing room for orientation or a possible mosaic.

This result models the values you entered. It cannot see the scene, verify focus or movement, predict camera-specific processing, or guarantee the final photograph. Use it as a stated starting point, then check the important subject area in a test frame or proof.
