Motion, Video, and Time-lapse

What could still defeat this panorama's stitch?

Declare your frame count, overlap, and capture constraints to see which stitching risks remain, a capture checklist, not a stitchability prediction.

Coverage is only one part of a stitch

Panorama coverage is only one part of a successful sequence. Near foreground, moving subjects, changing exposure, changing white balance, and a drifting camera position can all defeat a stitch even when the frame count is right. This planner makes the capture constraints visible so you can run a quick controlled test before a critical panorama.

A three-frame sequence with 30 percent overlap can cover a scene geometrically, but if the camera position changes around close foreground or people move through each overlap, stitching may still fail. Lock what you can, record the direction, make safety frames, and inspect a test stitch in the software you will actually use. The checklist does not promise a seamless result.

This is a planning calculation, not a certification. Confirm the relevant camera, lens, card, printer, contract, location, or workflow constraint in the real setup before relying on the result.

Make one controlled test with the important variable held constant. Inspect the subject detail, motion, highlights, and intended output, then adjust the setting that protects the priority you named.

FAQ

Will more overlap guarantee a better stitch?
No. Overlap can add matching information, but parallax, motion, exposure, and capture technique still matter.
Is this a guarantee?
No. The result is bounded by the inputs and assumptions shown on the page. It is designed to support a better next decision, not replace a test, measurement, proof, or professional judgement where one is needed.
