What's the next setting for my continuous-light test?
From a real test frame, change one stop of exposure through your chosen control to see the next setting, then decide which control protects the priority you named.
Answer
Calculate a result to see which priority conflicts with the chosen carrier.

Every control is active under continuous light
Continuous light makes the ordinary exposure triangle fully active: shutter, aperture, and ISO all affect the captured light. That is useful, but it means a motion decision, depth decision, and sensitivity decision often compete. Start from a real meter reading or test frame, then change one control deliberately under the fixture you will actually use.
From 1/125 second, f/4, ISO 400, adding one stop through shutter moves toward 1/60 second. Carrying the same change through aperture moves toward f/2.8. The first can change motion portrayal; the second changes depth. Neither tells you whether a particular LED will flicker or how the camera will render noise. Record a short test under the real lights.
This is a planning calculation, not a certification. Confirm the relevant camera, lens, card, printer, contract, location, or workflow constraint in the real setup before relying on the result.
This result models the values you entered. It cannot see the scene, verify focus or movement, predict camera-specific processing, or guarantee the final photograph. Use it as a stated starting point, then check the important subject area in a test frame or proof.
Make one controlled test with the important variable held constant. Inspect the subject detail, motion, highlights, and intended output, then adjust the setting that protects the priority you named.
FAQ
- What shutter speed avoids LED flicker?
- This tool does not claim one. Fixture behaviour, dimming, camera mode, region, and settings require an actual test.
- Is this a guarantee?
- No. The result is bounded by the inputs and assumptions shown on the page. It is designed to support a better next decision, not replace a test, measurement, proof, or professional judgement where one is needed.
